Ground Power Unit (GPU) is a mobile or stationary device that supplies electricity to an aircraft while it’s on the ground. GPUs are used for a variety of ground operations, including pre-flight preparations, passenger boarding, engine maintenance, and avionics testing. GPUs are connected to an aircraft’s electrical system via a cable and can provide either 120V AC or 28V DC power.
